“Bo and I wanted our wedding day to be all about our families and enjoying this special time with those we love. We wanted this to be our wedding, but also a time for everyone to come together and celebrate simply being with one another. We wanted two basic things for our wedding: a fun party where we could dance late into the night (or morning!) and a dance floor set underneath the Carolina sky. On June 3, we danced until 2 am, underneath market lights strung between the trees with a beautiful, starry summer sky as the backdrop; it was perfection.
The June 3 date holds significance to Bo and I, not only because it is our anniversary, but because June 4 is the anniversary of my sweet grandparents, Carl and Lois Summers. Carl, or Gramps as we affectionately called him, passed away on May 25, the week before the wedding. Although we were missing a very special person that day, we know he was celebrating right there with us as he watched his family dance into their anniversary.” — Olivia
