Brooke & Isaac
Brooke and Isaac met at Isaac’s church when Brooke was visiting with one of her best friends. Every time she went, he made a point to talk to her and shake her hand.
“After realizing we both had a love for pumpkin spice lattes, he asked me to go get coffee with him. We talked for a couple months before we started officially dating. He was working out of town and we wanted to take our time. Eventually, it was just the right time and he asked me to be his girlfriend at 1 am after we made breakfast for supper and fell asleep on the couch watching Duck Dynasty,” shared Brooke.
“Isaac took me to Grandover Resort for dinner on our two-year anniversary. Neither of us remember what we ate or what we talked about because he knew what was about to happen and I had my sneaking suspicion. He took me out to the garden with an arbor set up with pictures of us and sweet notes hanging. There was a huge vase of flowers. He read me a poem he wrote and got down on one knee and proposed while his sister was taking pictures from the bushes.”
The couple married at the beautiful rustic and elegant WinMock at Kinderton. With seven bridesmaids and seven groomsmen by their side, Brooke and Isaac chose a color palette of grey and maroon.
“I am all about neutrals and knew I wanted mostly greys and whites with greenery, and a pop of color. I was looking at bridesmaids’ dresses and saw the wine color and fell in love,” remembered Brooke.
“One of our favorite parts of the wedding day was the ‘first look’. We both handmade our gifts to each other. It was so nice seeing each other before and exchanging gifts. It helped to settle any nerves we had and we got to pray alone together before all the wedding craziness started.
“My MOH sang “Make you feel my love” as her toast to us and Isaac’s best man, who hates public speaking, gave the sweetest toast.
“After checking the weather forecast for weeks and it saying it would be cold and windy, we had the most beautiful warm day with plenty of sunshine! God was definitely looking out for us. We can’t think of anything we would change about our wedding. The day went off without a hitch, and we had a blast becoming Mr. and Mrs. Niemitalo!” Brooke concluded.
