Ashley & Frankie
Frankie and Ashley met as teens at a Jack and Jill regional conference. It wasn’t until 10 years later that they would be introduced again by a mutual friend on a cold December night at Café Europa. They sat and talked for hours and were amazed at how much they had in common. Ashley agreed to meet Frankie at US Sushi for their first official date, where they enjoyed a delicious meal, a bottle of wine and great conversation. Their love story began.
After two years of dating and at Ashley’s favorite restaurant, The Melting Pot, Frankie proposed. She tearfully, and joyfully, accepted and soon after, their families joined them for dessert and champagne.
Ashley and Frankie wanted a simple, yet elegant, wedding and incorporated violet, blush, cream and champagne gold into their color scheme. They had their ceremony at the historic Annie Merner Pfeiffer Chapel at Bennett College, followed by their reception at Greensboro Country Club.
Some of the most unique elements of their wedding included an amazing candle garden that greeted guests as they entered the club, a beautiful monogram on the ballroom floor, up lighting, draping and beautiful floral arrangements throughout.
Complimenting the violet colored bridesmaids’ dresses, Ashley chose a mix of flowers, including hydrangeas, roses and greenery, with a few calla lilies incorporated into the bouquets.
“Although there were many memorable moments during the wedding, the one that seems to stand out the most for me would be when my husband and I were exiting Greensboro Country Club surrounded by our friends and family with sparklers. It was so beautiful! I would not change a thing about my wedding day. It was perfect!” Ashley concluded.
